This place suits me perfectly, with free wi-fi, a cozy bar/lounge area, and helpful staff who always resolve any issues. On my first stay, the staff helped me with some technical troubles. I highly recommend it for a relaxed time, and I’m coming back for Christmas.

Stayed here with some pals for a night. Super convenient location! Loved that our room had a bath, really took the edge off after a long day. The staff were nice too! But the carpet was super stained, not great. The bar area was chill for grabbing a drink at the end of the day.

I recently stayed for one night in a Double Room with Private Bathroom and was truly impressed by the warm environment and delicious meals offered. The friendly staff made me feel at home, and the restaurant served one of the best fish and chips I've ever had, with generous portions and great presentation. I found the shower temperature a bit inconsistent, which could use some improvement.

The location boasts cozy spaces perfect for unwinding after a long day, with open fires providing a warm atmosphere. The menu offers decent meals, like the Cumberland sausage baguette, at fair prices, making dining a relaxed experience.

Upon arrival, there was a mix-up with our room. we initially received a double bed instead of the expected twin. The breakfast situation was underwhelming, featuring only packets of instant coffee and an odd policy to charge for toast. some rooms show signs of age, especially the bathrooms, which could use a refresh. Noise from the shared walls and the communal area can disrupt sleep, and it seems some locals get preferential treatment in service, making guests feel a tad ignored.

We stayed for 2 nights in a superior family room and loved the old-school vibe of the place. The staff were super welcoming, and having a resident dog around made it even better. The bar area was nice for chill evenings. Just wish the WiFi worked better in the rooms.

Our one-night stay offered a cozy bed and a rustic atmosphere, perfect for winding down after exploring the charming village. Dinner at the on-site pub was delightful, but be mindful of the early closing time. For a better experience, an insider's guide would have been helpful to navigate the facilities.

Check-in went smoothly, although it was done by the bar staff. I got put in a room that needed some maintenance. there were no light bulbs in the reading lights, and the towel rail was barely attached to the wall. The bathroom had some issues, like a missing toilet roll holder. Breakfast options were mediocre. I had to ask for jam for the toast, and overall, the breakfast service felt slow. The £144 price seemed steep for what I received. The best part, though, was the location, right in the heart of things. Plenty to explore nearby, which made up for some of the flaws in the room and service.
